A Brief Overview of the Holocaust<\/h1>\n

The Holocaust refers to the systematic persecution and murder of six million Jews in Europe and North Africa by Nazi Germany and its collaborators between 1933 and 1945.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Jews, the Nazis also committed genocide against the Roma and Sinti. Other groups were also targeted and often killed, including people with physical or mental disabilities, Slavic peoples, political opponents, Afro-Germans, men considered to be \u201chomosexual,\u201d and Jehovah’s Witnesses. <\/p>\n
